New Case Study Shows A Dramatic Decrease In Disc Lesion Size

The DRX9000 was created to provide relief of LBP (low back pain) caused by herniated discs, degenerative disc disease, sciatica, and facet syndrome. A new case report underwritten with a grant from Axiom Worldwide is now featured in Volume 3, Issue 1 of the US Musculoskeletal Review 2008. The case study titled, Management of Discogenic Low-back Pain with a Non-surgical Decompression System (DRX9000)- Case Report, reveals the pre- and post-MRI findings of a 31-year old male with a history of low back pain.

Social Media: Chiropractic Marketing’s Hot New Face

When speaking with the average chiropractor, it is apparent that critical entrepreneurial thinking is still not stressed in school. Hence, why many doctors never make it in the long term in practice. In fact, the chiropractic profession has the highest student loan default rate of any medical profession. Most of the reason for this that the doctors are taught to be great technicians and have good diagnostic ability but that alone does not pay the overhead each month. Many believe they will just hang-up their sign and people will flock through the door. Well, I have news for the dreamers! Times are changing very quickly and the fast learners will profit heavily and grow their practices to astonishing heights while the laggards will be sucked under with the sinking economy.

Do you agree Aromatherapy has suffered from it’s New Age stigma long enough? It’s time to tell the masses what these little bottles of liquid jewels are all about! Here in the United States, common use of the term ‘aromatherapy’ has been skewed so much that only that ‘touchy-feely’ aspect of ‘feeling good from smelling something nice’ is it’s complete definition to most folks. If you happen to know better, this article may just be a refresher in the science of therapeutic essential oil usage, but one that may help you teach others the ‘why’ of ‘medical aromatherapy’ – if this concept is new, however, read on and learn – this may be important to you someday!

Joint Position Sense Treatment by Physiotherapy

The importance of proprioception has been covered in a previous article so this article concentrates on the assessment and management of problems due to loss of joint position sense. Physiotherapists concentrate mostly on pain, loss of joint ranges and poor muscle power initially as these are the commonest restrictions found clinically. However they will always consider joint position sense once the more typically troublesome symptoms are settling. Full rehabilitation of the patient back to normal or sporting activity cannot be said to be complete without retraining the proprioceptive function of the body’s joint and nervous systems.
