Most people would enjoy a good massage every now and then. A goodmassage can be relaxing as well as therapeutic. A good, licensed massage therapist will have many amazing ways to ease tension of all muscle groups. You can go to unlicensed massage therapists, of course, and most people do because most of the time they are more flexible than licensed professionals. But, you are almost always not going to get the same benefits and the same experience you would with a licensed therapist.
A good massage therapy is a whole experience, not just something you go and do in a small amount of time. It often begins with a relaxing atmosphere as soon as you enter the massage room. An good massage is usually on a massage table, because you can face down and breathe and still feel comfortable. The massage therapist will help you feel even more comfortable. You will be relaxed and be ready for the massage that you are about to experience. It is vital to ensure that the atmosphere is just right. The room where a professional massage will take place would almost always be in a warm, candlelit room. It will usually also have some great sounds such as water fountain sounds, or a CD of ocean waves.
The licensed massage therapist would most likely use warm oil, so that their hands would glide over the skin. The person would have firm, smooth hands, and press just hard enough so that it would be a deep massage, right on the verge of pain, but not there. They would begin the massage at the feet, then work up the calves, to the thighs. The whole time they would be using a deep kneading motion. Then they would work up the buttocks, to the lower back, then upper. The next parts to massage are the shoulders and neck. To end with, it is time to turn over and the massage therapist would work on kneading down the arms, and then the hands. They would end on the face, with gentle easy pressure.
